This Privacy Policy explains how Dinetap Holdings Pte. LTD., doing business as Dinetap ("Dinetap", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal data when you use the Dinetap mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). Dinetap is a dining discovery and restaurant engagement platform that helps users find restaurants, cafés and dining spots based on location, preferences, popular hubs, ratings, menus, photos and other restaurant information. The App allows users to explore restaurant details, discover updated menus and offers, and make more informed dining decisions before visiting a restaurant. The current version of Dinetap is limited to restaurant discovery and restaurant information. It does not enable users to place restaurant orders, make reservations or complete payments through Dinetap. Accordingly, we do not collect payment-card or bank-account information for these features. For privacy questions or requests, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].

SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Policy applies when you download or use the Dinetap App, create or manage an account, use restaurant discovery features, enable location-based results, view restaurant information, menus, photos, ratings or offers, receive communications from us, or contact us for support.
This Policy does not govern a restaurant’s own services, websites, systems or handling of personal data. When you contact, visit or transact directly with a restaurant, the restaurant’s own privacy practices may apply
PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
2.1 Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, you may provide:
● your name, email address, username and account credentials or authentication details;
● profile information you choose to add;
● locations you manually select and recent locations saved for convenience;
● cuisine, dietary, facility and other dining preferences you select;
● marketing and notification preferences; and
● messages, feedback and information you provide when contacting support.
Dining preferences are used to improve discovery results. We do not ask you to provide medical diagnoses, religious beliefs or other highly sensitive details. However, some dietary selections may indirectly suggest personal characteristics, so you may choose not to provide them.
2.2 Information from social login providers
If you use Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple or another supported login provider, we may receive information authorised by you and supplied by that provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, account identifier or an Apple private relay email address. The exact information depends on the provider and your settings.
2.3 Location information
With your permission, we may collect precise device location while you use location-based features. We may also receive an approximate location derived from your IP address and process locations you manually select. More information appears in Section 4
2.4 Discovery and usage information
We may collect information about how you use the Services, including search terms, filters, selected locations, popular hubs, restaurant pages, menus, photos, ratings, offers and features you view or interact with, together with dates, times and session information.
2.5 Device and technical information
We may automatically collect information such as IP address, device type, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, application identifiers, network information, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data and security-related events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Services.
2.6 Information not collected for the current version
The current discovery version does not process restaurant orders, reservations, bill payments, payment card details, bank-account details, restaurant-wallet transactions, prepaid credits, bonus credits or cashback transactions. If these features are introduced later, we will update this Policy before or when the relevant processing begins.
HOW WER USE PERSONAL DATA
We may use personal data to:
● create, authenticate, maintain and secure user accounts;
● provide restaurant discovery and location-based search results;
● apply selected cuisines, dietary preferences, facilities and other filters;
● display and personalise restaurant information, menus, photos, ratings, popular hubs and offers;
● remember selected or recent locations and account preferences;
● operate, maintain, diagnose, protect and improve the Services;
● understand feature usage, performance and general user trends;
● respond to questions, complaints, feedback and support requests;
● send account, security, policy and service-related notices;
● send marketing or promotional communications where permitted and consistent with your choices;
● detect misuse, fraud, security incidents or violations of our Terms of Use; and
● comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
We will collect, use and disclose personal data only for purposes that we have notified to you, that are reasonably related to those purposes, or that are otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.
LOCATION INFORMATION
Location access is used to show nearby restaurants, relevant popular hubs and results based on your selected or current location. Depending on your settings and device, location may be precise or approximate.
You can use certain discovery features by manually selecting a location instead of sharing precise device location. You may withdraw device-location permission at any time through your mobile device settings. Disabling location access may limit nearby or location-specific results but should not prevent you from using features that support manual location selection.
Location permission does not mean that Dinetap continuously tracks your location. We collect precise location only in the manner allowed by the permission you grant and the feature you use.
SOCIAL LOGIN AND THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNTS
When you choose a third-party login provider, that provider authenticates you and may send us the authorised account information described in Section 2.2. We use it to create or access your Dinetap account and to maintain account security.
The login provider independently processes information under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing the provider’s settings and privacy information. Where applicable, our use of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
WHEN WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL DATA
We may disclose personal data only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to
account-registration and authentication providers;
● cloud hosting, database, infrastructure, network and security providers;
● analytics, performance monitoring and crash-reporting providers;
● mapping, geolocation, place-information and restaurant-data providers, including Google Maps Platform services;
● customer-support, email, push-notification and communications providers;
● professional advisers, auditors, insurers and other advisers where necessary;
● a buyer, investor, lender or successor in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, restructuring, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business; and
● government authorities, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or needed to investigate misuse or security incidents.
Service providers may process personal data only for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality and security requirements.
When you use features powered by Google Maps Platform or similar services, information needed to respond to a map, place, distance or nearby-search request may be transmitted to that provider. Those providers may also collect certain device, usage or interaction information through their SDKs under their own terms and privacy policies.
ANALYTICS, SDKs AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
The App and our related web services may use software development kits, local storage, identifiers, cookies where applicable, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts, prevent crashes, diagnose errors, measure performance and understand how features are used.
These technologies may be operated by Dinetap or by service providers acting for us. The current discovery policy does not rely on order, payment or wallet tracking. Where consent is required for a technology, we will request it or provide an appropriate control.
YOUR CHOICES AND PERMISSIONS
You can manage certain processing through the App and your device settings, including:
● Location: allow, limit or disable location permission, or use manual location selection where available.
● Notifications: enable or disable push notifications through device settings.
● Marketing: use an unsubscribe control in a marketing message or contact us to withdraw from marketing communications.
● Account and profile: review or update available account information through account settings.
● Social login: manage permissions through the relevant Google, Apple or other provider account settings.
● Account deletion: use the deletion option provided in the App, where available, or contact us using Section 15.
Withdrawing permission or consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. It may also affect our ability to provide the feature that depends on the relevant information.
RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain an active account, to meet operational or security needs, to resolve disputes, or to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
Retention periods may vary by data type. For example, account information may be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, while logs and diagnostics may be kept for shorter operational or security periods. When personal data is no longer required, we will delete it, anonymise it or remove the means by which it can be associated with you. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until they are securely overwritten or deleted.
SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss, disposal or similar risks. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where appropriate, logging, monitoring, secure development practices, staff procedures and vendor controls.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device and login credentials secure and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Dinetap is based in Singapore, and our service providers or technical operations may be located in Singapore, Sri Lanka or other countries. As a result, personal data may be transferred to, stored in or processed outside Singapore.
Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations to provide a standard of protection comparable to the protection required under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012, or that another lawful transfer mechanism applies.
CHILDREN AND MINORS
The Services are intended for general dining discovery and are not directed specifically at young children. Users under 18 should use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law or our Terms of Use.
Where we collect personal data from a child under 13, we will seek consent from the child’s parent or guardian unless an exception under applicable law applies. If you believe that a child’s personal data has been provided without appropriate consent, contact our Data Protection Officer so that we can review and take appropriate action
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal data held by us. Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act, these include the right to request access to personal data in our possession or control, request correction of an error or omission, and withdraw consent by giving reasonable notice, subject to legal exceptions.
Other laws may provide additional rights, such as deletion, restriction, objection or complaint rights. These rights are not absolute and may be limited where we need to retain or process information for legal, security, fraud-prevention or other permitted purposes.
To exercise a privacy right, contact [email protected]. Please describe your request and provide information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore or another competent data-protection authority where applicable.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, our data practices, service providers, security needs or legal requirements. The updated version will show a revised “Last updated” date.
If a change materially affects how we process personal data, we will provide reasonable notice through the App, email or another appropriate method before the change takes effect, unless an earlier change is required for legal or security reasons.
